Grindr

Yes, I have Grindr on my Android phone. Just go to your Android market and do a search for it.

^With that many, how the hell do you decide where to even start?

Potentially stupid and embarrassing question:

Is it pronounced 'GRIN-der' or 'GRIND-er'?

*sigh*

I'ma stick to adam4adam if I need a hookup site. I can get online on that, on my phone.

Grindr can be fun. I haven't been on a while and tend to use it more when I'm traveling. It's produced a couple of dates here at home, though... a couple that didn't go anywhere, but one was over a year ago and developed into a loose friendship.

And yes, I've used it for hookups, too.

I have Growler, Scruff and Grindr and it's the one I use the least. The only reason being that it caters to the sort of guys I'm least interested in. I did meet one guy off Grindr thought that turned into a great friendship so I'll give them that.

How does one know which app caters to what group when they chose to use them? Scruff sounds like it's for muscly hairy guys. Grindr is jack of all trades app and Growler sounds like it's for the leather, whip and fists crowd?

All my gay facebook friends past or present is on there. I know one gay guy that met his boyfriend on there. It seems like everyone on there is looking for hookups

I've used both Grindr and Scruff, the only two apps I installed, always found Scruff to be the better of the two, but then I'm biased since me and my Boyfriend met thanks to Scruff.

Also Grindr keeps closing and won't run in the background, it may be a setting which I can't find, unlike scruff that's quiet happy to run in the back ground and show my notifications as and when they happen.

I always pronounce it as "grind her", so whenever I loaded the app, it would say "get ready to grind her". Which is a little odd.

Grindr, Scruff et al are useless to me. It's mostly the same guys as everywhere else, except they are even flakier and less inclined to have any sort of conversation than usual.
