Grotesque NFL reaction to an openly gay player proves why Congress must pass non-discrimination law

The problem with the various forms of social media is that every asshole in the land has a forum from which to spew their ignorance and hatred.

Bottom line, ENDA isn't going to get passed this decade, the Republicans will never allow it.
The Republicons will never allow anything. Let's ponder the last three decades and see if anyone can name one positive thing the Republicons have done. They defund. They cancel. They repeal. They disallow. They lie. They cheat. They steal.

The 99% be damned.

Sad to say but with the world of Twitter and social media, ugly reactions are going to be far and widespread then even five years ago.

After seeing this this AM I think a NFL team would miss out on a good thing. Many people have agreed that his coming out was right.

Michael Sam gets standing ovation at Missouri basketball game

Sam AP

The only thing more brutally honest than a small child is a large crowd. With each individual finding anonymity in numbers, the boos or cheers that emerge reflect true feelings more accurately than any polygraph machine ever could.

I just found that the above was where Sam and his teammates were awarded the Cotton Bowl Trophy during that half time. Westboro was protesting outside but a half mile of Mizzou students protected the affair. Not gonna happen at Mizzou.

Damn heartening to see Mizzou students stand by Michael Sam. Both in the thousands and thousands that stood down the idiots from Westboro Baptist Church, as well as ovation when Sams received Cotton Bowl award for Mizzou at halftime of basketball game yesterday.....

Couldn't we just put Westboro on the fifty-yard line to face Sam and some friends?

They could have five minutes to do their thing, and then Sam and friends could do theirs . . . . ;)
