ok, i give up. i know (very well) what a blitzed left coast mikey is but have no clue about a blitzed onion nor do i think i'd waste good booze on getting one blitzed. i mean who wants to take advantage of an onion?

Ok, to clarify, its in my Jewish cookbook. I think i had it in Romania too, which would mean its also an Eastern-European thing.

Unless its Askenzik and everyone nicked the recipe.
