Please follow these basic rules:

1. No rape descriptions
2. No underage characters in sexual activity - characters must be at least 18 years old.
3. No reference to real people in sexual activity
4. Do not post other people's stories
5. No reference to drugs for the purpose of 'date rape' or similar scenarios.

Did my last post violate one of these rules? Both characters were 18 years old.
I'm just curious.

Can I briefly mention a character's age below 18 as part the introduction? Kind of like "Ive had my eye on him since he was 15 but now that he is 18 my dreams can be realized?

That seems OK to me.

Hello there !
I'm new in here, and I totally forgot to read this topic haha. I'm french, so I have some difficulties to understand properly this rule.
I prefer to ask because my story is about drugs ! Well, that's not the topic of the story, of course, that's just because it leads to some situation. But I prefer to be sure there is no problem, however, due to my bad english, I'm not sure to understand this rule perfectly ... Is it possible to have an explaination ? I'm a bit stupid haha.

Thanks !

Oh my ! A french in here ? That's perfectly clear to me now x3
Perfect, that's not the case of my story so haha. Thank you very much !!

De rien!

I just realized a submission I just made violates one of these basic rules. Is there a way to withdraw my post from consideration?

You can resubmit your story if you remove the references to specific ages less than 18 years old.

Over the years, I've occasionally written sort stories for my own amusement. I am interested in posting one (or more) here. However, some of the characters are under eighteen (too young to drive, that sort of thing), but they aren't engaged in direct sexual activity. They might be observed from across the alley, or be posing nude for a photographer. I DO understand that you will moderate the story, but if the situations I've mentioned here are unacceptable, I won't waste your time by posting them. If, on the other hand, such situations might be acceptable, I may submit one.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, because we're an adult porn site, the rules about what can and cannot be posted here are a little different than they would be for a more generic website.

If your story had a family that had children or if you were writing a story about a character's memories of growing up, these would be acceptable as long as there was no sexual references. It's when a minor is involved in a sexual situation, either as a participant, an observer or the object of desire that violate the rules about underage content. Where possible, we encourage that specific ages not be mentioned for events "that happened when I was young" or "in my teenage years".

To give two examples of what might be acceptable vs not acceptable:
Acceptable: A story about a grown man who remembers a non-sexual event from his childhood where the age is relevant to the story. For example, if an adult were remembering seeing two men kiss on a public street when he was a young man and how he, as an adult, remembers that as his first conceptualization of two men might have a relationship that was no different than the relationship of opposite-sex couples.
Not acceptable: The same story above where the underage character describes being sexually aroused by watching the public incident when he was "a young boy".

The difference between the two scenarios is that one is an adult talking about a memory from his past that doesn't involve sexual activity; the second scenario involves sexual and erotic activity that involves a character implied to be a minor.

Got it! Thank you for that reply - it clarified much more than the "basic rules" posting from 2018. I will have to look through my old stories. Unfortunately, many of them were at least based on childhood memories of "early awareness" and therefore probably won't make the cut. But, again, thanks. I hope other potential contributors see this as well as the "basic rules" post.

If you have any stories you want us to review, you can post report it and we'll take a look.

By the way, Autolycus who had been the moderator in Stories for about 20 years just retired, so we are looking to update any guidelines that need to be updated and we are looking for someone to be the forum moderator, if you know anyone who has strong writing skills and likes to review/edit stories.

Thanks. I may do that.

As for the moderator/editor search, I've long believed I had above average skills in grammar (I'm always whining about atrociously worded and/or punctuated posts I've seen on forums), but all I've read here, so far, has been the first seven chapters of "Watching Brad" from 2006, if I'm not mistaken. The quality of those submissions appears to me to be VERY high! I don't know if credit is due to the author, or to your editors, but I appreciate it when I can read a story and not find myself flinching ever three sentences or so! Well done. And I have to add that the author of that series (GSDX was it?) is a much more skillful story-teller than I.

I agree with you. I have seen a lot of sites that have a written erotica section and the quality is, at best, high school level writing. Many of JUB's writers are writing commercial quality stories and I am often impressed at the effort that they've put into the writing.

The writers forum is an interesting place. It has the written erotica nature of sites like Nifty and it also has a "true confession" aspect but what most of the members there have in common is an enjoyment of the written word.

Well, as I said, I had written several short stories and thought... "Hmmm, not bad." But, I was comparing my work to most of the garbage I saw elsewhere. Now that I've read part of "Watching Brad," I realize I have a long way to go!
