Our office has a hidden CCTV camera and it is my job to check it every now and again. When I checked after the weekend I discovered one of our young part time workers had decided to use the empty finance office at the weekend to sneak in and have a look at some porn on the PC. Do the employees know that there are CCTV cameras on site? If not, why not? Who gets to watch you as you are watching him? Pull the guy aside and remind him that cameras are in place, and/or what the computer usage policy is. Save both your asses. If this behavior goes on you both will eventually be fired.

Thanks to all, he's back in work at the wknd so I'll discreetly let him know what has happened and not to repeat. I'm not sure what the legislation here is abt hidden cameras, I just do what I'm told.
 
I will try to keep this short I now after leaving the Marines work for a large Bank in London where I was stationed for 3 years now staying here.

I wouldn't even let on that I'd seen him, if I were you. I'd casually work into the conversation that someone was bust for doing something (stealing, sabotage, whatever) because the last guy in your position spotted him on the CCTV while he was doing it; I'd also throw in that in my time nothing exciting like that had happened yet. That way you spare his blushes because he thinks he got away with it, and also your own because he doesn't know he's been spotted.

You'll lose the show, of course, but it's better than getting the sack yourself later on.
