Race isn't obsolete. The only people selling that crap are, ironically, white conservatives. People who've never dealt with race in the tangible sort of way to be in any position to say whether or not race problems have increased or decreased for anyone actually effected.

It is not "skin color." It never was. If you are going to use an archaic concept, phrase use it correctly.

There is no biological race, true. It is still used in ordinary conversation with the same meaning as what you're saying, and those things DO matter in society. When you make a statement like "race is obsolete", and you don't qualify it, you're just begging to be misunderstood as saying racial issues in society are of zero impact today. There is actually disparate impact from some diseases and medications along racial lines. So it is not entirely true that there is no biological delineation of race.

Actually there is enough research to show there are human sub-species.

I doubt you even know what the significance is of identifying subspecies. Appearance of different phenotypes is not enough to classify subspecies. Observed in nature, a subspecies will not mate with another subspecies, or very rarely. In humans, that is clearly not the case. Therefore, races do not qualify as subspecies. If I were you, I would not try to sound smart about a subject you know little about.

"Will not" breed and "cannot" breed are two different things. You do know that right? I mean with your vast intelligence. You might pay attention to your last statement. Did you possibly misspeak in the statement and you meant to say, "If I were me...etc.etc."?

I suppose it would be helpful if every enlightened person were enlightened in exactly the same way as every other enlightened person.

I am thankful every day that no one has made an attempt on the President's life. It scares me just how crazy some of these people are in their hatred for the first black president.

When I was watching the Inauguration, when I saw Pres. and Ms. Obama walking... I just about shit a brick. Then I realized how many Secret Service were accompanying them. You know, the ones with the "lean and hungry look." I think (and hope) they're at the top of their game. I think there was much to be learned from previous attempts on Presidents.
