Well I now know he fucked this guy which was obviously his intention from the jump. Therefore what did he need any of our advice for in the first place? People are funny, as mentioned earlier advice often falls on deaf ears. In regards to cheating that was really immature and selfish. If anyone has to make their partner "jealous" by sleeping around the relationship is already over.

Sorry for the harshness of my statements, but I have friends who were hurt because their partners treated them in this manner. Needless to say, I dealt with the offending parties and they learned their lesson. I wish people would think about the consequences to others of their words and behavior before they speak/act. But I guess that is too much to ask for, people have the right to do what they want. As orryyon noted (quote below), the OP planned to do what he wanted from the start and just wanted people to give him the thumbs up (maybe to help assuage him of his feelings of guilt as he prepared to act) . Thankfully, no one seemed to come straight out and congratulate him on it I just hope my words have struck a nerve with him and he stops to think about the people who are gonna be hurt by his actions.
