I think it's all very personal and no one is going two individuals are going to associate the same name.

What I was trying to say is that I think we associate certain names with sexiness due to earlier experiences with men who have certain names. One of my favorite names is Joseph, which is a bland and common as you can get, but my first major crush in 7th grade was on a kid named Joe. He had a long face and dark features, which may be why I find guys with this look to be so attractive.

Also: Eric. I had a tremendous crush on Eric Roberts back in the day. Seeing the one sheet for his first feature film set my 15 year old loins aflame.



For me, it also has to do with the phonetic value of a name. Oddly enough, I agree with m1thousand about the name Ryan. Something about the an sound at the end signals masculinity to me; I also like the names Brian and Brendan.

Conversely, I won't even make eye contact with anyone named Jerry, and the name Jared makes me think of a poorly maintained toilet. No offense to anyone here with those names...I mean I should talk..my given name is Penrod.
