When I spoke with a detective on my cities police force he was "guarded" in his answers, he even asked me "why should I trust you?"
But, if nothing else I am good at digging in to people and getting an answer.
This detective said that the last thing an officer wants to do is shoot someone, he then told me of all the problems a cop has if they shoot a gun, let alone kill someone.

What he didn't say that was quit obvious is that they question how a white guy like me might act, their mind is made up on blacks.
They don't trust them. They fear them.

It is fear, not hate that makes them pull the trigger too soon. Now, understand, I don't say that the fear is proper or right, but it is there.

I understand the detective's reply for fear is the factor that motivates a police officer to over react.

I am not judging any police officer, simply stating that Blacks are more likely to face an over reaction from a police officer, than Whites.

One might deduce that this is a racist response by the police officer.

I suppose that I agree with this yet on the other hand there is the question of respect towards the many supporters who have paid to come and see you.

Regarding sportsmen who are chosen to perform for their country team then yes I think it should be compulsory; if you are not willing to support your country then you should decline the selection.

Participating in the sporting event for which one has been selected is obligatory.

Standing for the national anthem is another issue, that should be a matter for the individual participant.

Political expression is not banned in the USA.

My son got beat up by a cop when he was caught smoking and lied about having more cigarettes on him.

That happens here all the time. The hard working can barely get by yet the generous welfare system we have here gives to the lazy and ignorant who demand more.
