i find that it's the guys who criticize other gays for being effeminate that i notice all their feminine mannerisms. if a guy never mentions it then i don't even take notice of how masculine/feminine they are (unless it's really obvious).

anyone else find it a huge turn-off when a guy tries too hard to be "straight acting"? especially when they pull the "how straight-acting are you" bullshit by talking about things like sport and cars just for the sake of sounding "less gay". if a guy genuinely wants to talk about that stuff then i'm all for it, but i can tell from a mile away if a guy is going out of his way to be more masculine and i immediately switch off.

i'd rather hang out with a flaming queen who is comfortable being feminine than an insecure tool who has issues with being identifiably gay/bi

I find it a huge turn off when guys are obsessed with appearing as masculine as possible.

I find masculine guys a turn off anyway though. :p

effort is a turn off.

i don't know about straight acting, but i like smashing stuff, cutting up stuff with chainsaws, driving big machinery, and i don't have a lisp.

but it's not really an act, just who i am.

It's annoying if they're trying to hard.

Usually the ones who think they're masculine and straight acting are pretty queer and just putting up an act. Some of them really do think they're masculine.

This is why I never take anyone's word for it when they say "oh yeah I'm masculine" or "I'm manly, straight acting, etc." online because half the time when I talk to them on the phone or end up meeting them, they're not.

I like when someone is just being themselves and act natural and they are masculine.

But on that same note I can't stand flamers either who go out of their way to be overly feminine.

I know exactly what you mean. Its so fake and obvious.

just be yourself

What annoys me the most is that a lot of those so called "straight acting" guys who bitch about effeminate guys are not out of the closet themselves. Be a friggin' man and accept who you are, and THEN you can bitch at others.
:)

Whats a ''faux hawk?''

You can't really see it in the attachment that good, but it's where your hair is styled like a mohawk, but you don't shave the sides. You comb it all to the middle and spike it up.

Like those gay guys who work their love of football and their Jeep Wrangler into every conversation? Or the bi guys who go on about how gay men are jealous of them because they can "pass" as straight?

Yeah.

They make me want to break femurs.

What do you have agaisnt Femurs???

Oh, and fellas, this is a better pic of the elusive "faux hawk"
