Okay, so I met this guy on Manhunt and we've been talking for 4 months now through texting. We're meeting tonight at the theatre and then eating after.

I've looked up tens of tutorials on YouTube on how to cover up acne scars and already have my supplies. I think I've got the technique ready. My question is, do you still notice people who wear makeup, no matter how good they do it?

Fucking turn-off. I'd rather go out with a guy with regular bad skin than with a guy who wears make-up but I may be in the minority there.

I doubt that.

But I personally don't mind and even find it a turn on when some guys do it.

Keep in mind, the makeup is going to get into your pores, contribute to clogging them, and make the acne WORSE.

If you continue to see this guy you're trying to hide the acne from, within a week or two you'll have to switch to a Spackle.

I would forget the makeup, especially if you've never applied it to yourself before. There are all kinds of things that could go wrong...

smudging, creases, it rubs off on his shirt, it runs, it's SUPER OBVIOUS (more then likely) and a turn off to him.

Let him get to know the real you, and leave Mrs. Doubtfire at home. If he's so shallow a bit of acne bothers him, you're too good for him anyway.

... and remember, there's probably 10 things about himself HE is worrying about to even notice your acne.

Have you given the makeup a test run? Like, wearing it for a day to see how it feels and if someone says something? Do so before contemplating wearing it on a first date.

What supplies did you get? Not all makeups are created equal. Is it a standard foundation or a scar cover? I like to use DermaBlend, it was developed for people with serious scars and discolorations; it's expensive, but worth it: it covers everything. But it doesn't look completely natural on a man unless you apply very very very carefully.

However, if you apply by patting it on with a very-slightly-damp makeup sponge (dapping, as brs320 says) and use an extremely fine translucent setting powder, then wipe your face down very gently with a tissue, you should be OK so long as you're not in extremely strong light. Be sure to remove any base and powder from your eyelashes and eyebrows, and don't forget to blend onto your ears and down your neck.

But I don't think acne scars are that big a deal. Men can wear scars better than women can... we call it "character."

i love wearing make up.

sometimes in class i put on high shine clear lip gloss and i have the sexiest lips in class

usually i stick to one feature, lips gloss for lips, black or brown eyer for eyes, always brown or purple mascara actually makes eyes appear bigger and in my case my brown eyes, more brown

bronzer goes a long way, too, i love make up.

let's not forget men have always worn make up and still do

Depending on what brand you use....it is very noticeable, you just have to find one that matches your complection with the rest of your skin (If you have a tan, you wouldn't want to apply "Ivory" as your base foundation.
I myself never leave the house without looking like BlondeLuxe the movie star....so I wear it all the time.

Yeah, it's noticeable. I say just be yourself and go au naturel. Thats one of the perks of being a guy. You dont have to get caught up in being a slave to a vast array of "supplies". I'll probably get in shit for saying this but dont wear the makeup unless you mind being perceived as somewhat "feminine" or "vain". I'm old tho so what do I know?

Make-ups are usually noticeable for the lack of shine of the face. But it's also commonly used (I mean, come on ), so people won't care about it anyway...

...just don't overdo it like this one.

Anyway, are the scars really that engorged? Because I don't know, but males don't complain about facial defects too often. Or so I think.

IMO, wearing a bit of concealer/powder is totally fine for guys. I don't see how it's any different from using another type of cosmetic, such as deodorant or hair gel.

Also, makeup doesn't really clog your pores like most people assume. It actually acts as a barrier from the rest of the junk that your skin faces daily, and as long as you wash your face at night (which should be done anyways), you won't suffer from makeup related acne.

I'd have to use black eyeliner and mascara and blue to gray eye shadow. The foundation would have to be very, very light for my complexion. With the exception of a little concealer, lip gloss and foundation(for an occasion), I've never worn makeup before but it would be so much fun to have a makeup party with you! :D

Exactly! It was very common in ancient Egypt for men to wear makeup and I'm sure they looked beautiful.

Make up party!!!

This youtube guy is some makeup guru. But I think he uses more powders, brushes and creams than my mom and sisters combined. I can't tell if his make up looks obvious or not? http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSublimeAgent#p/u/8/_rbBonFGg7k

its a great youtube video how to do, but boy he loves his highlighters. i think personally a little bronzer goes a long in making a more natural and healthy look, but overall this is an excellent youtube.

What's a highlighter, same as setting powders? I don't think I heard him use that word. One thing he really loves the most is his La Mer brand products and yearly botox and restylane injections he gets.

See, I don't like using other actual make up products like eyeliner and mascara and bronzers. It's a tad unnecessary imo

As where I have had great face skin, powders and foundations need not matter so I dabbled in color

Did you watch the you tube? I think he uses the word every sec seconds. A highlight is where the sun actually hit the face, body, or hair and that area appears to be highlighted. Several beauty products are made to mimic this effect
