Gym bros are more likely to be right wing jerks

well thats been my experience with the young white one's I meet upstate---meaning 18-28. But they are also the ones that don't go to college or just 2 year schools or the military or want to be state police but that means college which many can't get thru---and are hanging out at the gym everyday living with parents going to junior college and trying to figure out what to do with themselves. They are right wing jerks and hot as fuck.

But there are a lot of exceptions to this generalization.

I go to the gym 5 times a week, some times 6 times a week with an hour each per session. And I don't consider myself a right wing jerk. I consider myself just a jerk.


Just pointing out something. Exceptions do not negate general rules. For example, as a general rule, east asians eat a lot of rice. I'm east asian and I almost never eat rice. I know several east asians who hardly ever eat rice at all. And yet, if you look at the total population of east asians around the world, we consume more rice than everybody else combined.
 
They have more brawn than brain. Huge turn-off.
 
I'm not sure the word "exception" is applicable. You have to establish convincingly that a great majority are whatever before you can deem the minority exceptions. It is much more likely that the hard right are in a simple majority, and that the others are 40% or 45% or similar. If you live in a state that is 55% Republican, you cannot refer to the rest of the populace as the exception with any meaningful use of the term.

yeah I get both but lots of girls at my gym think they are hot shit---little do they know that I could get a shit about how hot they think they are---meanwhile the guys are all real nice and friendly.
 
am i the only one who thinks gym bros sounds like one of those vanilla porn companies with a bunch of generic all-american aberzombie and fitch types? homepage features "Colin" and "Jared" splashing around in the water tossing a football with some sort of caption alluding that they're straight and have never done this before. then the video starts and Colin tumbles and lands on his back with his legs in the air doing a perfect split as Jared slides right into his hole with nary a protest from Colin's walls. :rotflmao:
 
The study and the OP presume that a preference for Socialism equals moral, and an abhorrence of Socialism equals immoral equals jerk. No doubt there are places in the world (former Soviet republics, Venezuela, etc.) where in many quarters a preference for Socialism equals jerk.

In any case, the gym bros I know well enough to get a sense of their political leanings tend to be pretty middle of the road, as am I. Only 2--my partner being one--are right-wing, and neither of them are jerks. Repeat: neither of them are jerks. The biggest, buffest body-builder I know--a real monster--is the most left-wing.
