Hey All!

Just wondering if there are any Marathon runners out there? I'm quite a keen runner and have done several half marathons and the London Marathon earlier this year.

Anyone else enjoy running? If so, whats your training schedule like and how many miles do you normally build up in a week?

Take care all!

Congrats on your marathons!

I give so much credit to you serious runners. Running is so hard on your legs and having that much endurance to run 20+ is amazing. I like running, but I've never been that good, so lately I've been cycling.

Hey pianodude!

How ya doin'? Yer, I love cycling aswell. Don't get as sweaty riding a bike as you do running because you've got the cool wind blowing through your hair hehe.
It was really funny (well it wasn't really) after the marathon...I literally couldn't walk for about a week! I was supposed to go to University but I kinda used the marathon as an excuse not to go! ..|

Ciao!

Just a curious question (you don't have to ask if you don't feel like...) How was sex that week after the marathon?:)

I usually do 5.5 miles on the treadmill everyday at the gym, and I go 7 days a week, so roughly 40 miles.

I've never run a marathon before but want to, badly.

Yeh. it's definately worth it. The sense of achievement you feel when crossing the finish line is fantastic especially with the crowd cheering you on!

Get yourself there man! Get applying!

Keep me informed!

Hey Billy

What sorta times you do for a marathon? My Personal Best was done a year ago.
2 hours 37 mins.

I love the sense of achievement you feel when you cross the finish line after a 26.2 mile run! You feel the same?

Still running...I have been running since High School. Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor. I also ran dividsion I in College which was a blast. I have not stopped. I do between 40 and 55 miles a week depending on what week. I still follow my old coaches training with lifting and streching. I ran the 99,00,01,02,03 & 04 NYC Marathon. I just do half marathon's and 5k's getting to dam old for all that training. I did a half last weekend in New Hampshire 1:26:24 not bad for 39 I was happy. I'll keep running keeps me in great shape. I have great legs and a sexy butt from running.

^ Sherman, do you have any joint problems? I've heard people who have been running for many years develop difficulties, but I have never seen statistics. It's always been in the back of my mind, making me wonder if I should be cycling instead.

Oh, and feel free to include some pictures of those sexy legs you were talking about. ;)

I cross train with a bike, but the strenth training and I spoil myself with a massage every other week really keeps me pain free and yes once in a while i do have joint pain but not to bad...keep trucking

Yep I love to run. Train about 50 miles a week and run several half marathons a year.

Well...I have backed off these days (getting older and slower - no more PBs for me!) but I have done running races and triathlons of all distances from the short/sprint to to the ultra/ironman.

I still much prefer the bush/trail runs to road running...other than that, these days I do a fair amount of swimming.
