Ok ... on a serious note ... I've done a few full marthons ( a few years ago ). Up your training ... start a bit slow .. 2- 3 miles and then increase mileage over the 6 weeks
go to a running store and get fitted for good shoes, whatever the brand, they will help you find the best fit for your foot
DON"T WEAR COTTON T-SHIRTS !!! Get some good running clothes.
Body Glide. Running makes you chafe in places you never knew rubbed. Up and around the armpits, in the butt crack and all along the crotch.
Don't wear new stuff the day of the run. Put some mileage in both clothes and shoes before the run.
It's worth all the effort when you cross the finish line.
