I have a witch that wanders around...

It's my nosy next door neighbor!!!

All of the signs i draw out, cut, and paint.

This is just a small part of our yard and i've included pics from different years.
Our yard was featured in the local paper two years running.
I have made probably 150 signs and sold a lot of them to people.
The past 2 years we just put out about 10 signs. It's always so damn windy in october!!!!](*,)

that is some seriously pricey sh** in that catalog!!
and yes i do things around the house and yard....but the big stuff is at the bar

I have tombstones I made out of fluorescent cardboard, with funny sayings on them, black lights to light them up, spider webs, rubber hand, snap pops scattered on the sidewalk, eerie music from speakers hidden in the yard, a ghost (made of a woman's scarf, cut to have no corners, dyed with orange fluorescent ink so that it glows white in the black light, suspended from a piece of fishing line, and with a fan on it so that it is constantly blowing around). I also have a fog machine, strobe lights, thunder sound synced to the strobe light, glow-in-the-dark makeup on my face, and so forth. This year we are doing a pirate ship with a pirate skeleton on it (I bought the pirate pictured below, the rest is home-made). So, to answer your question, I guess it's a "Yes" in my case.

I'll bet you get a lot of trick-or-treaters!?

i've never bought anything like that, but i've made similar things using instructions i found online from people who know how to do it. I love Halloween and when i lived at home for halloween i used to dress up the house more than i can possible describe right now. hundreds of dollars it has cost me to create a good and lasting effect.

I'd rather waste my disposable income on a bag or eight of cocaine and have done with the lot of it!

Oh! I love this one!

Unfortunately not. I live in an apartment and gone are the days when people brought their kids to the door for Tricks or Treats. :(

I get a ton of trick or treaters to my home...hundreds and hundreds of them every year. I normally need to buy around $50 of candy. We had one year that there were less...it rained that year...but we still had kids and my best friend and dkonfrost made a spooky haunted house inside for them. :)

You guys have all the fun.

I think I need to move to California. ;)

For me, it's always my students that come to my house... Little do they know I lie in wait with my dog. When the doorbell rings, I sneak out the back, give the dog a generous slathering of whip cream, and put the invisible lease on her, then open the side gate. She pounces on the porch and starts growling and barking.

IT'S GREAT FUN!!! The boys run off, shrieking like 5 year old girls. The girls just drop everything and huddle together. I walk out and help the girls gather the candy. If any of the guys return (once their balls have dropped again), I pass out the good stuff, and they find out Mo is terrified of strangers when I'm nearby.

We have a few pumpkins, but that's about it.

Oh yeah, and Spleef bought this 'totally gay' inflatable 'Pooh Bear'
thing that looks like he's coming up out of a Jack O' Lantern. :?

Oy.

We'll be passing out decaf latte's and rainbow flags. #-o
