halo 3 preview!

I've had it pre-ordered for like 7 months. I played the beta a lot, and it's gonna be a really great game, although not too different from Halo 2. The single player however is supposed to be a lot better than halo 2's was, so we'll see where that goes. I was supposed to pick it up at midnight and take tomorrow off to play through it, but that didn't work out, so I'll be playing it tomorrow afternoon into the night. We'll all have to meet up on XBL and pwn some nubs! Maybe this weekend, let me know what you all think.
 
I finished the campaign today and it was really an amazing game. Everyone enjoy it!
 
I've finished it also, a bit short but it was great fun.
All round I love it, multiplayer is even better now and I'm totally loving forge mode.
 
Damn Flood!

I beat it with my roommate yesterday. It was really short in my opinion.

And even though we both died very frequently (and sometimes our deaths were just caused by boredom -- id est, we smacked each other around, pushed each other off cliffs, emptied our gun clips on each other, shot rockets at each other, et cetera), the A.I. didn't seem too different from the second game. It's just that the enemy concentration was too high in some areas, so we died quickly. I was a little disappointed with that copout.

But allowing the Arbiter to spawn with a Covenant Corbine or an Energy Sword (at the end of the game)...I greatly enjoyed that. I less-than-three Arbiter now.
 
I loved the story, of coarse its short, all the Halo games are, but you have multyplayer and you can play the story over and over and it never gets boring.
 
so is game play graphics good? or was the trailer mostly cinimatics? i'm getting kinda tired of cinimatics that look amazing then actual graphics don't come close. :( then again i don't have an Xbox360, just a computer. i'm waiting for DX10 scifi games.

Another thing Bungie did to help alleviate boredom with replaying the campaign are the 13 skulls placed throughout the game. A few are pretty easily found, some require a tip off from a friend or a lot of luck, and some simply can't be done on your own (thinking of one in particular that is so ridiculous no one would ever think to do it). However, each offers a unique change to the game and can be activated/inactivated any time after you have found them. All of them can even be activated at once, changing gameplay immensely, and also boosting your numerical score given for playing the campaign. In addition, once all 13 are found, some content is unlocked. I have already seen this content on someone in the multiplayer, so that should give you a big hint!
