Just saw "Hancock" and was pleasantly surprised. I actually liked it....not that it's the best flick of the summer but just a good popcorn flick. I was anxious as the early reviews were saying it sucked but I thought it had some really funny moments. And I must say that Will is looking as hot as ever and there's actually a scene where he's in some shredded pants and you can see most of the side of his ass.

Anybody else seen it yet? What did ya think?
 
Yay I'm going to see it tomorrow.

From what I've heard its pretty enjoyable & def. open for a sequel
 
I'm waiting for Hellboy 2 next week, which should tide me over to the new
Batman.

Yahoo Movies, Spill.com, Flixster.com, and a few other places...I mean they're not saying its an "Oscar material" movie if thats type of review you were expecting, but enjoyed it as a good Will Smith summer blockbuster...

And over on the IMDB boards also, most posts are saying left open for sequel (which will obviously be decided by its success regardless)
 
The reviews have been mostly very bad, but Will Smith has become pretty critic-proof.
 
I guess I'm in the minority then. I thought it was a cute movie, made me laugh a few times, and had a different take on the typical superhero genre. And Will's nice to look at (as is Justin Bateman) so, at least to me, it justified the $5.25 I plunked down to see it.
 
The first half was okay. Kind of entertaining.

And then about halfway through it just got stupid. REALLY stupid. It's like they filmed the first half and then decided it needed to be more "serious" and it just....charlize theron...ancient...what the FUCK?!

That shit just blew.
 
I didn't really like the movie. But that is just me.
