YAY!!!

I FINALLY got to drive through Pennsylvania -- and timed it PERFECTLY to spend most of the day with Kenny!!! (!)

Here is a rather LONG video showing the approach into his hometown, a tour of his new home -- a coal breaking facility, and just some general goofing around...

He lives in a REALLY AWESOME neighborhood with METICULOUSLY manicured lawns -- in a town that has a lot of CHARACTER!!!

AFTER showing me his new home, he drove me around town where we got to see this REALLY COOL old Blue Coal facility...

Here we are posing in front of it...

He then continued to show me the town -- they have this AWESOME restored theatre -- where Jefferson Starship and Adam Lambert will be playing in the near future, a SUPER NEAT bridge with EAGLES!!! and just a lot of other interesting aspects...

AFTER that -- he brought me to a place that serves AUTHENTIC New York Pizza -- I don't know HOW they can make it there in Pennsylvania and not in Atlanta -- but it was GREAT!!!

Oh -- and we stopped by this cemetery from the 1700's!!! Here is what tombstones looked like back then...

After leaving the part of town that had the CHARACTER -- he THEN showed me the NEW part of town with the mall and all the "box" stores... :(

Then we went back to his BACHELOR's pad -- and had a great visit...

Here is a photo of Kenny when he was dropping me back off at my truck...

It was GREAT to see you again KENNY -- and ESPECIALLY great to see how well you have done "off" the road  -- I cannot wait until I can get through there again when I can spend a WHOLE WEEKEND... ..|

Thanks again for your INCREDIBLE hospitality!!!

:):):)

Thanks for the tour, guys! It was almost like being there. :-)

I'm carrying around an image, though, of "being eaten alive by rats".

With a beard, Kenny would go from hot to nuclear. :)

Thanks for the pics and vids! I work with some people from the coal part of rural Pennsylvania, and that gives me an appreciation for the place they're from! :)

There wasn't nearly enough man-on-man action in that video to keep me interested.

(I'm kidding)

Looks like you had fun. Thanks for recording the video and sharing it with us.

Kenny...

You need to make friends with your neighbors....

You know, the ones with the pool..... ..|

Nice digs Kenny.

And it is a pleasure to hear your voices.

Hey all you guys back off Knucklehead... I already claimed him as my own personal property.

cool vid and pics swerve.

Hotties!

I love it when they're walking up the stairs and swerve asks if knucklehead if he re-built them himself and knucklehead says something like, "No man, I don't do that shit". Awesome.

Nah, no beards for my mamma's little boy..It always make me feel like I have a nest of ants on my face.

I'm jealous of Kenny's kitchen.

You're always welcome to swing by and make me dinner..lol

Yeah, it's a nice mix of suburbia, with gritty reminders of when coal ran the show. Most of the people around here used to work in ''da mines.'' Now that they are closed, they do have daily reminders of when coal was king.Such as huge, abandoned coal breakers..

LoL..I don't mess with too much of that kinda stuff. It always ends up with a trip to the emergency room.

" No parking ! "

" Whatever... "

We don't need no steenking no parking signs..

That was awesome, loved the extra room for shoes.

I have more room than I know what to do with.My shoes appreciate the breathing room..lol

For anyone that is interested, last summer,I made a video of the abandoned Huber-Ashley Breaker that is in the background of the pictures of Ted and I..

I took a bunch of pictures in black and white, because it's more forgiving than color shots. Then I put them together with a soundtrack.

Here it is..

Yeah but what are they going to do with all those old factories and plants??? Seems like there may be some opportunity somehow though the industries are gone. Maybe turn 'em into museums of sorts?

You have no idea how many of these types of places litter the Rust Belt. :(

Eventually thousands of them will have to be knocked down but it will take literally hundreds of years.

Knucklehead's town looks just like the mining camp I live in when in Michigan.

Nice , enjoyed it but I have to say my attention is drawn to that Clean very white Freight shaker with all that chrome polished. Sorry but neither of you compare to that good looking machine.;)
