I think that I was happiest when I was poor as a churchmouse, nothing to lose and it was all ahead of me.

Agreed - money can't buy happiness but not having to think about money leaves to time to address other aspects of your life making it easier to be happy.

If I never had to think about money - I'd travel - and travel - and travel - and I know that would make me very happy.
