Just wondering what others' experience have been with happy ending massage at mainstream spa. I recently had a massage at a local Spa/Salon. The LMT was friendly and very professional. Nothing was overtly sexual. When I turned over on my back, it was obvious that I was happy and relaxed. He continued as normal. I am attending massage therapy school here in Atlanta. The majority of massage therapists are professional and act accordingly. This type of behavior is a plague on the legitimate massage industry. We are trying to clean our ranks and be treated like professional health care workers. For a while the nursing profession had this stigma and now it's massage therapy. These people are risking their license and in my opinion deserve to lose it. There are plenty of escorts and other people that offer what they call a massage and include a happy ending. A true professional would not handle themselves in such a manner.

I disagree with you, Hellax. Wouldn't you agree that an amateur giving a "massage," i.e., escort rubbing you, could do more damage than someone who actually knows what they're doing? I understand the stigma that you're trying to fight, but happy ending or not, I'm going to an LMT.

The current LMT I go to has an office in his house. His 'regular' job is working in a massage therapy office. Inside the office, it's nothing but professional, but in his home office, anything goes. (But you kind of know that going in.)

If anything goes at the LMT's house then he is basically escorting. The LMT/Escort you see could lose his license if anyone found out. As an LMBT I am required to inform the board of any state I work in to notify them of people in our field that engage in this line of work. I know here in North Carolina you cannot even moonlight as a stripper while licensed. We go through an extensive background check to get licensed. I had to go through school and then had to wait for the board to approve me for a license.

In today's society there are many more stories of LMBT/LMT's taking advantage of there position such as placing hidden camera's in the room, Making sexually based comment's and offering services such as "Happy Endings" that scare people away from seeking out treatment and give us a bad name.

Now, I have no problem with people who chose to do "Adult Work" but doing it in the guise of my chosen profession I do have a problem with will speak out against it. I agree with everything you just said. The people that are offering sexual services disguised as a massage are nothing more than prostitutes IMO. A true professional would not act that way and it should not be tolerated. I'm studying very hard to be the best LMT I can be. I've given up time with my children, weekends with friends and spent hours and hours studying. School is costing me thousands of dollars and some people expect nothing more than a blow job. Makes my blood boil when I hear about therapists that act like those above. It is an insult to those of us that take this profession very seriously.

Yes. Some guys get erections during a massage. Usually it is a physiological reaction to certain nerves being stimulated. Not due to being turned on. Regardless of why it happens. It is not a reason to become a prostitute. Some people become attracted to their psycho therapists or other health care professionals. It is universally unacceptable for them to cross the line yet it is expected of a massage therapist. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Anyone that tries that game with me will be walking out the door faster than they came in. Minus the full cost of the massage. No matter how far we were into the process. I have no problem reporting any therapist that crosses the line to the licensing board.
