One of my dad's favorite cartoons is the 1951 Looney Tunes: The Three Bears, tribute to Father's Day -
"A Bear for Punishment".

When you get right to the heart of the matter, Dad's are really teachers. The best of any father is when he passes along a few of life's lessons he learned - to you.

My father and I didn't talk much but we always spent our TV time together. While it all started with my dad, now it has been passed to me. So I'm passing it to all the members of Just Us Boys - a clip of my dad's favorite entertainer.

I took my own 85-year-old father to dinner with my brother and sister-in-law.

Thanks, Vannie. We had a great day, mostly spent on the lake, waterskiing and jet skiing. Because is was 95 degrees most of the day, the cool water felt so good. It's my favorite time to waterski. We also went to church, out for brunch, and to a Romanian bake sale at this little Romanian orthodox church, since our 3 oldest are Romanian born. Great day!

I'm glad you remember your Pops so affectionately. It's how every child should have it, right?

In a perfect world...yes.I have never waterskied before,but I do miss going up to the lakes in Vernon N.J.I would be perfectly happy sitting in a boat munching on Romanian baked goods
