Happy Friday the 13th

Whatever your thoughts are on the date....I grew up very close to Port Dover, Ontario.

For decades, it has been the meeting place for thousands of motorcyclists from across North America every Friday the 13th. Of course now, most of them are in their 80's.

And it has become as much about people coming to look at some really great machines, both classics and cutting edge.

But in the heydays, the stream of bikes was never ending for a few days before and then after the weekend was over. With rock bands, booze, drugs and food.

I've only ever been a passenger on street bikes. But ridding down the roads on a humming bike with my boyfriend's sweet little ass wedged between my thighs while my hands roamed around his torso and crotch was quite pleasant. Seems like we were never in any real hurry to get anywhere.

While thinking of Friday the 13th... Earlier I was thinking that maybe we should change the US election schedule so Election Day will be a Friday the 13th. With today's realities, it somehow seems fitting!

Friday the 13th is bad.

But, Saturday the 14th, is Horrid!

Each Friday the 13th is just another day for me. Since I'm retired, I'm not around many other people so I don't know how many other people think than I do. I just look forward to calling the local newspaper and extending my year sub and get a $13 discount. They have done this for many years...and so have I.
