Bottle of bubbly, some cheese, sit comfy on the couch and watch Anderson attempt to stay sober is his new liquor ban on CNN.

Good luck in the New Year. Let us all hope it brings indictments and convictions for all the deserving little boys and girls.

I gathered with two of my siblings and their spouses in Memphis last night and we went out to an Italian restaurant and enjoyed a relaxed visit, and then went back to the hotel to my room and played Texas Holdem and Farkle for some prizes.

Driving back today, I called a chum from college and shared with her an interesting quote I heard on an NPR interview, and then called a 3rd cousin in Raleigh and had a long talk.

Back home, I played laser with Coco, changed mattresses, and am abed. Fireworks are a-poppin' up my street.

Just had a bite of brisket and about to have a piece of buttermilk pie I made Christmas,

Tomorrow, leaf raking and packing some boxes to move to storage.

Happy New Year everyone! I expect a few fireworks to go off at midnight, but otherwise be quiet. I'll have a drink by myself to toast in the new year and then go to bed.

I am a little reluctant to say I am looking forward to 2023, because I remember in 2019 saying was looking forward to 2020. So, I'll just say Happy January 1st.
