Like the title says..hope all Canadians are having an enjoyable turkey day with whomever you're celebrating it with. :)

And to everyone else, Happy we-Canadians-are-weird-and-have-Thanksgiving-a-month-earlier-than-the-Americans day.

*big hugs* (*8*)

Happy Thanksgiving to our fellow Canadians. You didn't even get off of work.

Actually, if they don't get an off-day on Sundays, they'll get Monday off instead, it's a stat holiday I believe.

Technically, our Thanksgiving isn't until tomorrow, and it is, indeed, a statuatory holiday. Always on the second Monday in October.

I could never understand why the American holiday is on a Thursday. You don't even get a long weekend out of it.

I'll give you a little education - most of us take off the following Friday anyway. In reality, most of us get a 4 day weekend. My company actually gives us a paid holiday for the Thursday and Friday.

Primarily the only people who do work are the retail people, since everyone else is taking off that day to go shopping; it is the busiest shopping day of the year.

Oh sorry, my mistake. I thought he meant it was today. Happy Thanksgiving.

Well said.

All I have to do is switch on the evening news to realize how lucky I am. We have so much to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians and Happy Columbus Day to all JUBers from The United States

As an immigrant to Canada, it would be hard for me to express how thankful I am for my adopted country. Like many other countries, I own a house, property, more than one car, have a wonderful dog, a successful career and the man I married earlier this summer. But one of the things I will be giving thanks for this holiday is the amazing and magical nature of this website. I have friends all over the world now, gay friends and otherwise, that I would otherwise never have met. I do not believe that this is "just the internet"; I have true friends here, some that I have met in person and many more that I would like to. England, Australia, Italy, Poland, Mexico, Spain, France, Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, Wales... in my heart I have been to all of these places, though I have only stepped foot in four of them. And to all of you who have been kind, funny, thoughtful and caring to me I promise you that you will be remembered when I sit down to give thanks before dinner tomorrow.(*8*)

Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians, especially our wonderful group of Canadian Jubbers.I wish you all a great day and much to be thankful for,and celebrate with you in spirit!:D (*8*)

Happy Thanksgiving! Guess I should send a note to my relatives. Thanks for the reminder...
