The most pleasant time of year for the nocturnal procrastinators amongst us.

The days are too short to try making any real use of them. LOL

Our desk calendar said the 22nd is the solstice??????????

Yule and the Winter solstice are not precisely the same thing, anyway. Yule is (or was) a festive season that begins on or around the time of the winter solstice and lasts 12 days.

A lot of what modern day people believe are [Christian] Christmas traditions are actually Yule traditions.

But I love that Yuke, Saturnalia, the Solstice celebrations and the manger origin story all celebrate the return of the light.
