Hard-Painful ball in Anus.. need help

sooo.... looked it up. seems to be a Hemmeroid.. new question, should 18 year olds be getting hemmeroids?

Hey B00m3r,

Welcome to JUB! Great to have you here buddy...

And yes 18 year olds can get hemorrhoids... what you need to figure out is why... they are like blood blisters or swollen veins (Jockboy will explain this better when he sees your thread I'm sure) and they are usually caused by straining or stretching your anus...

At your age its either one of 2 things I'd guess...

If you are constipated and have hard solid stools this will be the cause

or

If you have been engaging in penetration where theres no preparation or foreplay to relax and loosen up then this is probably why...

Both are solvable and the good news is that the hemorrhoid will most likely go away in a few days... but you need to stop doing whatever it is that caused it. Chances are they can return if you go back to the bad old ways...

If your constipated drink much more water - 8 glasses, eat more fruit and veggies - get some fiber in your diet... but water is critical. I would go as far as to say hit it very hard in the next few days so that your stools are soft either way so it doesn't hurt so much... avoid fatty foods - they slow down your bowel and can lead to constipation.

If its penetration... then slow down. Take your time. Use plenty of lube. And work your way up in size if you need to take something big. Start with a finger then 2 etc.... you get the picture.

You need to look after your butt mate. Treat it right and it can be a great source of fun and pleasure. Treat it wrong and it will literally be an pain in the arse all of your life!

Sure does sound like a hemorrhoid. Unfortunately I am experienced with these pains in the ass. I have had surgery to remove them twice. The last time was the day before Thanksgiving. What happens is a blood clot forms in a vein. The blood clot causes pain and swelling in the anus. The most frequent cause is constipation

There are a few things you can do now to help ease the discomfort and get it to go away.

1) Take an anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen, 600-800mg every 4-6 hours. This will help with the pain and swelling. Make sure you eat something with it so you dont get an upset stomach.

2) As above Preparation H does help. Try the "Cooling Gel". That seemed to help me the most.

3) Warm soaks in the tub. The warm water will help your body to break down the blood clot.

4) There is an over the counter medication called Nupricanal. It is a topical anesthetic. Just apply to the area affected.

If these things don't help within a day or so, pardon the pun but get your ass to a doctor. Preferably a general surgeon. I know it is embarrassing but they have seen it before and that is their job. They went to medical school to help people. Well most did anyway. If they have to be surgically removed it is a brief, in office procedure. They numb the area. The worst part by the way. Then the Dr. lances the vein, removes the clot, stitches the area closed and thats it. Pain lasts 4 or 5 days and your back to normal.

If you have any question just pm me and I will be glad to offer any help I can. No, I am not a doctor but I worked as a paramedic for 15 years in an ER and we saw lots of these things.

You should not take more than 800mg of motrin/advil/ibuprofen every 8 hours. (the daily max is 3200mg, however there is an increased risk of adverse events) So 800mg spaced 8 hours apart. Any more than 800mg every 8 hours for several days can lead to renal problems, abdominal pain, nausea and other fun GI issues. also make sure you eat when you take an NSAID, it will help reduce the GI upset.

Also all the NSAIDS increase bleeding ( they're kissing cousins of Asprin) so it might be wise to go with tylenol untill you get checked out by a doctor.

Sometimes all you need is a little rectal hydrocortisone to help reduce the inflammation in your tush. You're doctor can write for a suppository that you unwrap and then insert rectally.

Yes, it sounds like a hemorrhoid. Check this site out for more information...

I'd not start at a general surgeon. They will want to cut it out when there are other medical options. As to ibuprofen, ask your doctor. But you can take 600mg every six hours with food quite safely assuming you have normal renal function. People take more than that post surgery all of the time. Wouldn't want to take it chronically though.

Go see your regular doc and he/she should be able to fix it.

i got one too that i just noticed today, but it's not on my anal opening. It's like 2 inches away from it on the edge of my butt... prolly can't see it unless me or you look up from underneath. It's the size of a marble, doesn't hurt. I think it's an abcess or large pimple. Hoping for the best...
