The film is less than three months away from release. I must say, I am very very excited.

:gogirl::gogirl:

Two trailers - the first from the Blu-Ray edition of Part 1, and the second is newer.

With the second though, the scene at 1:14... I don't ever recall it being in the book. I may be wrong - the filmmakers have tended to shy away from poetic licence with the books - if this is an additional scene to make it more "action", I'd be quite disappointed.

Thoughts?

Annoying how they keep repeating Voldemort's "NYEEEEEAAAAH" and Mr. Weasley's "HAAARRRYYYYYYYY" screams in trailers. And Harry pulling Voldemort was a bit awkward, why is that?

Saying the bad things first, because everyone knows that OMG I'M SO EXCITED, SHIT IS EPIC, BAD ASS, WATCHING IT DAY ONE, etc.

Harry Potter <3

I think I read that they're making the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort more climactic than it was in the book.

Which, to be honest, I felt was a little anticlimactic considering that the whole series, and especially the last two books, built up to that point, and it was over in the blink of an eye. Yes, yes, I know it's because of the Elder Wand plot, but still.. =P

The second trailer makes it look like they did the Prince's Tale right, though!!

I'm honestly stoked but at the same time I'm not ready, if only because I don't want to actually see all those deaths again. And I'm really looking forward to the fight with Molly and Bellatrix more so than Voldy and Harry.

As for that extra scene, I'm not liking it. I especially didn't like (it wasn't an additional scene but whatever) that they changed the entire Twi-wizard tournament in the fourth movie. I was looking forward to the maze part. >=[

For some reason, the scene that gives me the chills in this trailer the most is McGonagall's army of animated statues. The marching knight statues is pretty bad ass.

(The entire trailer is amazing!)

Yes, I noticed that too. It was, let's be honest, easily the most poignant aspect of the last novel so they had better not screw it up!

Thanks for posting these trailers. I'm pretty excited!

NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!!

Sorry, but we all know that moment will define this movie! :D

Not only that, but I love how it makes you do a complete 180 when it comes to Snape's character. Literally, up until the last minutes of the movie/book, people will have one opinion of him, just to have it completely changed right at the end.

I'm confident Alan Rickman acted the part well - I just hope that it was written and executed well.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

I don't recall but does anyone remember whether there has been enough references to the the broken mirror and the appearance of Aberforth, the backstory of the Grey Lady, Dumbledore's back story and his relationship with Grindelwald (unless that was covered in the first film and I forget?)... and all those deaths.

I'm curious to see what they leave out -__-

From what I've read, they omitted Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail), the trailer looks amazing and hopefully it lives up to the hype. They did a test screening in Chicago, from what I've heard it looks great but some of the book portions didnt mirror over to the movie, like Dumbledore's back story.

SPOILERS BELOW!

They couldn't explain the Grey Lady in Part 1 because Ravenclaw's Diadem plays no part whatsoever until the very end of the book (so Part 2). In fact, I'm pretty sure Harry didn't even know about the diadem being a horcrux until they had Hufflepuff's Cup, hence the trio's trip to Hogwarts to find a relic from Ravenclaw. Long story short, I'm sure they'll explain the Grey Lady and her story since that's how Harry was able to figure out that the horcrux was in fact the diadem.

As for Dumbledore and Grindelwald, I feel like that will be explained through the King's Cross scene. Then I feel like their involvement in the Elder Wand plot will be wrapped up through the Prince's Tale and Harry's showdown with Voldemort.

I may be completely wrong though.

There are going to be quite a few back stories to traverse in the last film - Grey Lady, Dumbledore, Prince. Not to mention getting into and breaking out of Gringotts and then the big battle..., including King's Cross...

...and that epilogue.

From what I have read the directors were planning to kill off Lavender Brown. Although a very minor character in Deathly Hallows, she had a pretty big part in Half Blood Prince. I don't know if I like this. Trelawney to the rescue?

You see him naked several times in the new series Camelot.
