Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I can't wait to see Helena Bonham Carter play Hermione who is playing Bellatrix! Awesome!

I'm really excited for this movie. I'm in love with the Harry Potter series and I am currently rererereading them, but I hope they make it more faithful to books (I'll never forgive for cutting out S.P.E.W. :grrr:). The OotP and HBP movies were pretty dull in my opinion and the movie series has been going done hill scene of PoA. I'm hopeful for this but I don't remember the dragon from Gringotts being at Hogwarts.

The second trailer is out - and here it is - also looks FANTASTIC!!

I've seen all the HP movies so I have to finish it with these next two.

I haven't read any of the books.

I haven't read any of the books but I read thebookspoiler.com and read half of the spoilers and then saw the newest trailer and saw the scene with all the Harry Potters I was all excited. So I'm going to finish it all and when the movie comes out I'll know what they left out of the book and what they had in the movie from the book.

After watchong those trailers, I can't wait to see those movies!

The one scene that will win me over completely is the infiltration of the ministry.

I thought Deathly Hallows was good....These young actors get better & better with each film....They really focused on Harry's friendship with Hermione..You'll judge for yourself whether or not it was a bit-much...All of the supporting players were seen briefly but they made it count..Luna's Father was introduced and I'd Love to see a Story written about her life and the story behind her mother's death....

They hyped up the Battles in this one and they gave more action and "special-effects" than the previous installment..

In my opinion the only thing MISSING was an appearance by The Great Lady herself Dame Maggie Smith...She's a scene-stealer and just about everyone was back (briefly) except her...Prayerfully her health will continue to get better..

Having to wait another 8-months for "Part II-The End" is Cruel...The studio is going to milk it for everything its worth..

I saw at midnight. Despite, the first half of the book being a slower read than the second, I feel they did a great job with this film. Very true to the novel, and more or less what I expected.

However, what was with the actor for Mundungous Fletcher? I don't seem to remember the character being Persian or Lebanese or something...

Also, I really think someone who doesn't know the story of HP so far would be completely lost in this movie. There is very little recapping.

I really liked this one, so much more than the Half-Blood Prince. This one actually followed the novel, and although most of the action is in the second half, this one was still very exciting and a really great build-up.

It was okay. I've never read the book but I heard something cool was supposed to happen after the half blood prince but it never happened. Part of it was hinted with a train scene going to hogwarts but that was it. I did find the blend of the wizard world and the real world cool. The action scenes were pretty cool too and the injuries seem to be getting much severe. The infiltration scene was awesome too.

The only thing I did not really like was the survival part that last most of the movie. I understand it's important for character development and to prepare them. But it seems they dragged it out a bit too much. But after seeing the trailer for both movies I think the final part will be the best.

I did very much enjoy it. But I do think out of all the movies this probably had the least amount of action or events going on. The ending was amazing though.

I saw the movie yesterday--IMAX, of course. I loved it, much more than I did the last film. I felt it did a good job sticking to the story, and I loved the action in it. Seeing Harry shirtless in it has sort of renewed my crush on Daniel Radcliffe. As with the other films, I will more than likely check it out one more time.

On a side note, and not to give too much away, who else loved the sequence with the tale of the Three Brothers? I thought it was fantastic.

Very good first half. Much better than the last movie. Mostly because they actually kept to the book this time. Very much like the first half of the book. The second part is going to be epic.

And I agree, the scene about the 3 brothers was awesome. Perfectly done in my opinion.

To me it was the best out of all films so far, but as MoePhoenix said, Part 2 will of course top it. It was directed nicely, followed along with the books rather closely, just aside from a few missing parts. I also didn't like they made the discover of the Sword of Gryffindor at the bottom of the pond/river(?) so random as if there had no importance at all as well as the Patronus charm that didn't belong to Harry.

But all in all I really enjoyed this one! I gotta admit though...I got teary eyed when Dobby's death came ... Just a little >_>

gifted students at Hogwarts, reliable

Harry gifted?

He is a good student but he and Ron is lazy. They hate studying and could do a lot better then they did. Of course I was surprised that Harry and Ron got Es in potion.

^^Yeah, both Ron and Harry have potential, but they never applied themselves the way Hermione did. I think the movie highlights this by showing Hermione doing a lot of the heavy lifting, spell-wise.
