Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I though it was good but it had some slow boring parts too, like most of the scenes in the tent

just saw it - hmm. 7 out of 10. liked the whole film overall. lots of good shots. kind of more than a few liberties taken in order to speed it up which i always hate - i mean its soo long already why not just add another hour to keep to 100% authentic.

I can't think of a film I loved more this year. I'd say it's the second best of the series, my favorite being The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Sorry, I won't be reading many posts or talking to people about it much as I am not a reader of the books, and prefer not to be, and don't really know how it will end. I was never even interested until my sister dragged me to a midnight viewing of Azkaban a few years back, which I was only willing to watch because of Gary Oldman and Alfonso Cuaron. The David Yates films have been relatively good, but I feel this is his most compelling and effective.

I was actually considering reading up on the novels before the final film. But after seeing Pt.1 tonight, I realized I would not have had the same experience had I known what was to happen. Much of what made this film so good is the constant state of impending dread and tragedy. I was willing to accept that any character at all might die, an emotional investment I would not have otherwise. Perhaps I'll read them through after I've seen the final film; I know there are many things I'm not really in on or might enhance my appreciation of the series and its characters. But for me at the moment, I'm more concerned about an appreciation of the film experience as much as it can give. No preconceptions.
Plus my stupid sister spoiled the deaths of Sirius and Dumbledore for me in the previous films. Had she not, perhaps I'd have enjoyed the previous Yates films more. Bitch.

Also, the animated sequence was delightfully gothic and unexpected. Awesome snake stuff too!

am a little surprised that no caps are coming out yet - not that there was anything more than torso, but 'changing harry', ice-pool plunging harry, etc.

I hope there will be another Harry Potter after HP & the deathly hallows... :P

PS: poor Dobby!

^^^ - How would there be another Harry Potter? It is the last book...the only way there would be another Harry Potter is if the author wrote another book?

Jo have said that if she would return to the Harry Potter world she would write about Albus not Harry.
