Harry Potter Theme Park

I actually heard that they first went to disney. But they wanted to create a new thing "like MGM, tomorrowland" and etc. for the harry potter portion. And have the walls move and stuff and actual realistic magic stuff using technology. But the budget for that project would have been way too much. I did read maybe a year or two ago about how universal studios was getting a harry potter them park ride. And apparently a portion of islands of adventures.

I think it would be fun. I actually did kinda like Shrek 4D.

Well it's not "really" a Harry Potter Theme Park. It's going to be one of the themed islands in Island of Adventure. So if you go to IOA (as we call it here in central Florida) you'll just walk over to it like the rest of the park.

Of course I would check it out, as we go there every couple of months anyway.

Even being a "fan" of the books and most of the movies, I wouldn't go to it if it was a separate entrance/fee.

That depends. If it feels like I'm walking through Hogwarts of Diagon Alley, then fuck yes.

But if it's just like Disney Land or Six Flags or something, but Harry Potter themed, then I'd have to pass.

As if the lines wouldn't be long enough!:p

harry is the rider, not the ride-ee.

but lets be resonable - 10 minute maximum, no one under a certain height allowed or with heart-problems, ron and/or draco get to take over the lunch and dinner shifts.

a money-maker for sure.

I'd rather have Draco or Longbottom myself.

Now I have a good reason to want to go to Fl.

Perhaps this would be moved to the "Amsterdam" section of the theme park -- and include Daniel Radcliff's Equis persona, too? Naked, with a horse - who was more hung?! I haven't seen the play, only heard about it.

Talk about your grown up Harry!

:sex:

Hell yes. :D After Universal Studios got rid of Kongfroncation and The Back to the Future Ride, I thought I would never again step foot in that lame excuse for an amusement park for as long as I live. Everytime I'd make a trip to Orlando, it'd be Disney World all the way. ..| Now after seeing the layout of the land and how detailed the attractions are going to be, I don't see why I wouldn't go.

^^Just awesome. :)

In fact, I'm more excited to see the park than I am about seeing the last two movies.

They got rid of back to the future? O_O"

THOSE BASTARDS!

They replaced Back to the future with a similar style ride of the Simpsons, a couple of years ago now.

But this is at IOA not Universal proper

I think it's going to be cool

I'm confused now.

Universal Orlando:

Islands of Adventure has hulk, spiderman, rocky and bulwinkle, dueling dragons, Dr. Suess, Jurassic Park, and there might be one other theme.

Universal studios has terminator 3D, What used to be nicktoons blast ride. I forgot it was hannah barbara first, back to the future, men in black the ride, jaws, twister, earthquake, the mummy, ET, and maybe a few others. I'm pretty sure that's how universal studios is. Oh and Shrek 4D. Can't forget that.

Now for Universal Studios California. It's the california tour, jaws, back to the future, the mummy, jurrasic park, men in black, twister, backdraft, and i think a few more.

So which back the future was replaced by the simpsons :(

I love universal in orlando haha.

And yes I would def go to a Harry Potter theme park and probably dress up too :D

The Orlando one. :D I'm not sure if Back to the Future was discontinued at the California park as well. I'm guessing that it was.

Oh and Dueling Dragons is being rethemed as "Dragon Challenge" for the Harry Potter part of Islands of Adventure. ;)

THOSE BASTARDS. Well for Dragon Challenge. I'd love to see a quiditch style ride. That would be epic. I wouldn't mind if they redid Dueling Dragon's though. It might be fun.
