How did you do it and how long did it lasted and how did it made you feel?

I deactivated Facebook/Instagram and its been a day and a half and so far things are going well. I have been more productive and was able to clean up with out stopping several times and slowly taking a crack at decluttering. Its the best feeling in the world to focus on important things instead of endlessly scrolling on facebook/instagram.

It's been a long time since I was last logged into Facebook. Everyone on there has probably forgotten my existence by now!

It was a relief getting away--it was a tiresome environment, mainly due to political division.

Past that, I also am more concerned now with Facebook collecting data about me. Someone who does privacy videos has indicated a belief that Facebook and Google are two of the bigger threats because of how big their presence is.

JUB is pretty much my only 'social' media and I don't really spend all that much time here.

I've never tried Twitter, Facebook, or any of those things.

I used to waste a lot of my time on Reddit, until I realised that it was full of twats.

I do it daily.

I am rarely, if ever, on social media sites from 6 pm onwards.

I have 8 news pages that I follow for news on Twitter.

And can go days at a time where I don't post anything or check stuff on FB. And don't do Instagram or other sites.

The longest we've gone without social media is probably 7 days last year when we had no power and I have to admit that I missed it.

I was addicted to MySpace before Facebook. I was also addicted to Facebook until they deactivated my account for constantly posting memes that they deemed inappropriate, only to find others posting much worse and getting away with it. 🙄

Oh my. I've been summoned. For the record, I never watched Beetlejuice. Couldn't stand the makeup.

No, I don't detox. They usually involved enemas, either chemical or physical, and I'd just as soon save it all for posting.

Seems like there should have been an update or two by now.

You couldn't do it, could you?:)

Yes I would like to know too Mr. Car. :)

I don't partake but I try to be online as little as possible. If I can work at my computer without opening a browser I feel good. Scrolling through tumblr or porn sites or whatever to kill time is almost as soul-killing and wasteful as time spent on social media.
