Has anyone ever met a Bro Dude?

This article is fucking stupid.

Sounds like some bitter, old queen who's pissed that a lot of gay guys find straight guys attractive.

Just because you say the word "bro" doesn't mean you're trying to fake being straight.

Here is the real kicker right here:

dumbass who wrote the article said:
Bro has no place amongst our people because we see each other as potential vehicles of sexual release and your actual brother is not a potential vehicle for sexual release. Well, if he is you should never admit to it anyway. But you all know this, you know it would be completely bizarre for you to moan out “yeah bro” while you were plowing up some cute farmer’s land, so what could possibly warrant such attachment to the term?

Um... so that implies that all gay men want to f*ck each other. You can't be friends with another gay guy and call him "bro"?

I think this moron went way too deep on nothing more than a word. It's just another way of saying friend, pal, buddy, guy, etc.

As far as certain guys trying to emulate their behavior, that IS stupid and it always comes across as fake or trying too hard.

I am not an old queen at all and I was never attracted to str8 guys. For me a guy's essential attraction and masculine appeal is he is into male-to-male sex. For me there is nothing more attractive than a guy clearly into male-to-male sex and proudly showing it. I have always seen sex with women as effeminating guys. So, str8s are rather rebarbative in my book.

i have to admit, i don't find effeminate men attractive at all, but that article was retarded.

since when were there rules regarding words that gay men should and shouldn't say. Are there similar rules for straights/lesbians/bisexuals? is it wrong for a lesbian to call another woman "sister"?

if you hang around certain people then you're gonna pick up their lingo. Whoever wrote that article needs to relax and stop being such a dick

I respectfully disagree with the article. I understand the frustration that led to it, but anyone who attempts to stamp out the use of any word or pseudo-word in popular vernacular is essentially pissing into the ocean.

haha I don't ever use the word 'bro' either, no one I'm friends with uses that word, and I'm extremely attracted to straight guys or gays that are straight-acting, one of my friends is kinda a big fem and dresses up in drag and he's kinda cute but just the fact that he's overly femminine and dresses up in drag is a big turn off

sometimes im confuse whether or not i should use words like bro/dude/pare/tol/tsong (the last three words are filipino translation for bro/dude) although i can say those words naturally - i still prefer not to use em, i dunno why, i just sometimes feel that its inappropriate, and it really depends on who im talking to...

for me its no big deal , you cant judge someone simply because they use the word bro/dude- that article was just ridiculous and mean but very funny
