I lived in Atlanta. Yes to all of the above except meeting people. We saw them from a distance behind while we were in a viewing booth. There are far more interesting things to do in Atlanta besides visit CNN: the Zoo, the Cyclorama, Coca Cola, Stone Mountain, shop and tour Little Five points, shop Virginia Highlands, the DeKalb Farmer's Market, the list goes on.

1. I used to work there!

2. Yes.

3. Unlikely but there's always a chance. People you mentioned are really busy and may not even be in town (or the country!) when you visit. When I worked there, I would pass them in the halls but as far as sitting down to chat...forget it. They simply don't have the time unless it's a bonafide business meeting.

My friend used to work there. I had lunch with him there while on a trip to atl. He worked there so I got a tour, but I dont remember what was open to the public etc.
Have a fun trip Atlanta is a great city. Have lunch at the varsity its a hoot, lol.

I'll be taking a trip to Atlanta this year, and I want to
take the tour through CNN Center.

I was there last Easter. I HIGHLY recommend the gift shops there! You can get interesting inexpensive unique trinkets for everyone on your list in one stop. People will be impressed.

If you're going this time of year, go to a Thrashers hockey game in Philips Arena next door. The Thrashers are an interesting, talented team who beat the Philadelphia Flyers last night. And the Arena is nice: high-tech with unusual comfortable BLACK seats. The place is quite dramatic.

One of their rising stars is Evander Kane:

I was there a couple of years ago --- kind of dumpy and old at CNN -- didn't look very modern. I found the area not very clean either. We stayed at a major hotel downtown -- didn't take my socks off in the room. The electricity when out in the middle of the night - it was hot!!

One thing Atlanta has going for it is the strip clubs -- the best I've ever been to.

I've been there MANY times -- usually for work...

But its a pretty cool place -- back when I used to go there they had a live show during lunchtime in the main area...

I think that it'd be fun to include that in your trip to Atlanta...

:):):)

I live in Atlanta but haven't been to CNN yet. I do have a few ideas for other fun places for you visit while your here.

1. The Aquarium
2. World of Coke
3. Stone Mountain (try and stay for the laser show)
4. Six Flags (if you like amusement parks)
5. Mid-town/little 5 points (gay bars, shops, restaurants, book stores)
6. Atlantic Station (usually an exhibit of some kind as well as shops and places to eat)
7. There is always a sporting event of some kind going on either professional or college.
8. Martin Luther King jr. Museum.

Give some of those a try. If you would like more info PM me and I will do my best to help.

I've driven by the building several times but have never been in it, yet.

It was fun but you probably won't be able to meet anyone. My boyfriend and I at the time do the CNN make your own video which was fun. You basically run your own newscast with teleprompters etc. I kept cracking up because my boyfriend was so serious lol.

It's okay. I went shopping crazy in the Turner store at the end of the tour. That was the best part.

I liked the Georgia Aquarium better. They had the Titanic exhibit when we went.

Well for one, you're not going to see Anderson Cooper in Atlanta. He's based out of the New York City head quarters.
