Has anyone ever written to a celebrity?

Fun thread Jordy03 ! And Lawrence Durrell, Julie Harris... we are in high cotton indeed ! LOL reminded me of attending every performance of Private Lives with Maggie Smith a long time ago and writing a gushy fan letter only to be rewarded with a signed photo and note from her. Met her at Stratford years later and she remembered my purple prose !:p

I heard on the radio that Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis jr or coming to St Louis sometime this year but I can't remember exactly when. Billy Davis jr is from St Louis Mo. :gogirl: :gogirl:
Thanks for that! Time for me to check their schedule it seems. :D

I've been tempted to write this guy but never have.

Fifteen or so years ago I got on an almost-empty city bus at about 1 a.m., and sitting in the last seat across the back was a Hollywood actor, leaning against the side of the bus.

He looked like shit on a stick, as though he had been in a fight because his face was dirty and bruised, and his hair looked like he had stuck his head in a vacuum cleaner. He had to have been on a bender.

I sat on a long seat parallel to the aisle so I could see him (always had the hots for him). But after a minute or so, he looked directly at me and shook his head, then mouthed "Please."

I nodded and he returned it while closing his eyes for a second as though in relief. I moved to a seat facing the front of the bus, and that was that. He left the bus by the back door a couple of stops before I got off.
Hey Keeland we all know it's Nick Knolte....

Maggie Smith!! I'd love to meet her! The only thing better than meeting her would be to meet her when she was with Judy Dench!
