Probably. All this must tie in with December 21st 2012 somehow. The apocalypse is coming.:D

HAARP  Didn't realize people got so crazy about weather balloons. Same people who push HAARP are the ones who talk about chemtrials and think Ron Paul is the next coming of jesus. HAARP conspiracy theorists tend to blame it for any natural disaster... even though natural disasters haven't been increasing (whether it be earthquakes or climate related events)... the only thing that has increased is sensationalist media reporting.

I guess people need to run with certain things and make weak correlations.

Exactly! Sensationalized bull crap, always draws more attention in the media, and among the general public, than scientific facts...

Ohhhh I love conspiracy theories, but chemtrail nutters are worse than turds for breakfast.

As for HAARP, I am not a scientist so I would not be able to tell you if it has any potential adverse reactions. P.s telstra... don't watch youtube, it's full of bullshittery and flimflam.

If you want something more potentially damaging to complain about, talk about cowboys dangerously fracking. Usually there is minimal danger, but idiots without proper planning can result in some enjoyable seismic rumbles.

About the conspiracy that weather can be controlled and manipulated?

Yeah, my sister's friend in the air force was dishing on it.

HAARP is the subject of numerous conspiracy theories, with individuals ascribing various hidden motives and capabilities to the project. Journalist Sharon Weinberger called HAARP "the Moby Dick of conspiracy theories" and said the popularity of conspiracy theories often overshadows the benefits HAARP may provide to the scientific community.[16][17] Computer scientist David Naiditch has also referred to HAARP as "a magnet for conspiracy theorists", saying the project has been blamed for triggering catastrophes such as floods, droughts, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and devastating earthquakes in Pakistan and the Philippines, major power outages, the downing of TWA Flight 800, Gulf War syndrome, and chronic fatigue syndrome.[3]
Specific allegations include the following:
A Russian military journal wrote that ionospheric testing would "trigger a cascade of electrons that could flip earth's magnetic poles".[18]
The European Parliament and the Alaska state legislature held hearings about HAARP, the former citing "environmental concerns".[19]
Author of the self-published Angels Don't Play This HAARP, Nick Begich has told lecture audiences that HAARP could trigger earthquakes and turn the upper atmosphere into a giant lens so that "the sky would literally appear to burn".[18]
Former Governor of Minnesota and noted conspiracy theorist Jesse Ventura questioned whether the government is using the site to manipulate the weather or to bombard people with mind-controlling radio waves. An Air Force spokeswoman said Ventura made an official request to visit the research station but was rejected-"he and his crew showed up at HAARP anyway and were denied access".[20]

When I sit here and think about what we are capable of it surprises me that we cannot easily recreate processes like rain and snow.

The Chinese have been trying to control the weather and make storm clouds for years, and far more then the US, and have failed at it from what I've heard. They are pretty desperate too... seeing as piss poor agricultural practices turned a great deal of farmland into dust.

ummm it was called cloud seeding.
The US starts cloud seeding long long ago before China start doing it.

The project was cancelled as it didn't produce any results. China have been doing it more recently.

So don't think so.

creating clouds and cloud seeding is 2 very different things. I can understand not being able to CREATE weather, but influencing weather by way of seeding I thought was a fairly common practice.

From what I understood, the Murrikans in the drier states have been doing it for a while, and notably China when the Olympics were on and it was quick fix to reduce the amount of air pollution during the games.
