yes JUB has lost the plot.

Lots of reasons why....
Congratulating someone for having no life that they can make 1000 posts a day is considered fun.
The moderators seem to think its their job to control what can be discussed.
So many members are more concerned with appearing nice and pc than being real and enjoying themselves.
Too many threads with the word Elvin in the title.
Too few members have a personality or a mind of their own.

I couldn't have said it better myself, sb. Add to that too many Threads about What are you doing right now, What are you wearing right now, What are going to do in the next 5 minutes, What did you do in the last 10 minutes, What part of your brain (if any) are you going to exercise in the next 10 minutes, What did you have for Breakfast, What are you going to have for Dinner, What was your last bowel motion like.

And now with Ben and Inwood banned for a week...... They're two of the guys with character and spunk who help make the site what it used to be.

It's all too PC and sweet and friendly other than when Threads get highjacked by guys just keeping their own personal little chat sessions going which just make it boring. Get a room, guys. I'm not out of here yet, but the time is drawing near.

Unfortunately, the attention rarely goes where it is needed and/or deserved. There are several people here fighting very real battles with diseases both mental and physical, and they are all but ignored, yet 'RodDICK' can be seen in a photo with his shirt off and garner almost 100,000 views.

Now, maybe Mr. Roddick deserves being looked at 100,000 times, but there are people here desperate for a little compassion and, at the very least, a shoulder to cry on, and they rarely get it.

I joined JUB years ago. A lot has changed. The site has grown enormously and I understand JD and Seth have had to commercialize JUB just to pay the server bills. But JUB has become so commercialized, that its seems to have lost some of its community luster. But its their baby and they have the right to do with it as they please. Their investment deserves to make them both rich. Thats the Capitalist way!

But still.. Things just don't feel the same as they used too. Too many friends long gone and too many new faces. I feel like a dinosaur.. :\

I've been here since the LMAO days, and this thread should just be a sticky...

every couple of months someone who's either been here for a few weeks OR has been here for years and has a post count of 32 starts to moan about how things have changed. quite honestly, if you don't like it here.. leave. If you've been here for two years and have under 50 posts, you don't have the right to complain.. we're not here to entertain you.... take part and help make JUB what you want it to be.

Bitter people complain about how someone else is more popular than they are, whiners complain about how nobody cares about their problems and uptight Christians bitch about how the focus of a porn site is porn. (they leave out how they found JUB by searching FOR porn...)


But those of us who enjoy a good larf and just wanna share some smut, tell some jokes and talk about a few issues that relate to the gay community just keep chugging along and make JUB what it is...

An ever-evolving forum board where some people can take it and some people can't. I presently have about 40 people on my ignore list because I just can't bother to wade through posts by people who's life seems to revolve about

(a) whining that nobody likes them
(b) being a twerp and trying to pick fights
(c) being a jack ass for the sake of being a jackass
(d) being an insufferable know-it-all
(e) annoying power trips
(f) childish attention whoring
(g) threads that are passive aggressive ways of getting other people to attack someone that you dont' have the balls to attack yourself.
(h) Neo-conservative grandstanding

I could go on.

Look, I'm sorry if someone's personal life is rough, but when 95% of someone's posts are just complaining how they're broke, depressed, hard-done-by, over worked and how they never get laid.... they're just not going to get as much attention as someone who talks about fecal matter of the stars.

This has been an experiment on how far a JUB topic can go.

My offical stand on the topic is: The quality of the informtion can be measured by the input by/from the greater community it supports. After reading the two pages on the topic that I raised, I conclude with the following statement: "There is such a contrast to the 'Yes' and 'No' Groups that makes JUB a great place to be a; (1) visitor, (2) Bi, (3) Queen, (4) King, (5) Angel or just an utter Bastard (69).
