  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Have you aged well..?

Ok this is against my better judgment. But here goes. One picture was me around 19 or so. And the other when I turned 40 not too long ago. I'm still crying over it.

Anyway, not used to exposing myself like this. Hopefully this doesn't come back and bite me in the arse.

Probably one of my biggest regrets in life is not finding the gym life a lot sooner in life. I had no muscle back then. Just skin and bone. Had I gotten into the gym life sooner in life, I'd be a lot bigger now.

How do you think I've aged?
But you are 'still' a young'en to me. You look great now...but how much bigger do you want to be?

Today I noticed the amount of hair on my dad's ears. I'm afraid this is what I should expect for myself, 30 years from now :(
And it never stops. I swear, overnight I get 1/4 inch hairs on my nose and nearly 1/2 inch hairs on my ears. Did i mention hairs inside the nose?????

I got hairs inside my nose, too.
I see plucking hairs become a daily routine, just like shaving...

I've been told I look great recently, I think i look similar to 20 years ago but with gray hair and a few wrinkles.
Having a physically demanding business, my body is fucked and I certainly can't do what I used to.

"Have you aged well..?" Fair question—at first blush.

Some of us will age better than others, but we all end up the same age: dead. And just before we reach that ultimate age, we’ll be lying on our death bed with our final thoughts. If you’re thinking, “Gee, if I’d only avoided the sun, I wouldn’t have so many wrinkles!”, then you’re a shallow SOB.

Screw the mirror, Narcissus. Platitude that it is, beauty truly is only skin deep. The lovers, male and female, I remember and yearn for are average and below average in looks. But they are so much more than that because of what is on the inside.

You can’t make love to a guy who is making love to himself.

Treat each other well. Peace of mind flows from that.

The actress Judy Dench will soon be turning 90. These quotes from her have been making the rounds. Other than the first, I daresay none of the others are guaranteed.

"Don’t prioritise your looks my friend, as they won’t last the journey.

Your sense of humour though, will only get better with age.

Your intuition will grow and expand like a majestic cloak of wisdom.

Your ability to choose your battles, will be fine-tuned to perfection.

Your capacity for stillness, for living in the moment, will blossom.
Your desire to live each and every moment will transcend all other ways.

Your instinct for knowing what (and who) is worth your time, will grow and flourish like ivy on a castle wall.

Don’t prioritise your looks my friend,

they will change forevermore, that pursuit is one of much sadness and disappointment.

Prioritise the uniqueness that make you you, and the invisible magnet that draws in other like-minded souls to dance in your orbit.

These are the things which will only get better."

Judi has aged well--both in mind and body.
