Have you ever been gay bashed?

I haven't had it happen at all until a few weeks ago actually.

I was outside my dorm area with some friends of mine having a smoke and being a Friday night, of course guys are going to be drinking. Anyways, we are out there on the benchs when one of the guys comes over to talk to one of the girls that was there with us, and my friend told him to fuck off. Basically, gay bashing began towards him and towards me since I was trying to stick up for my friends.

He told me to go fuck myself, and I told him to get his student card out so I could right him up for being drunk...man I love being an RA sometimes
 
I pity people who think it's ok to abuse others because of their differences, respecting yourself and others doesn't take any effort.

Any verbal abuse I have experienced I just ignore it, physical abuse I'd inform them that I'd be calling the police.

Lucky for me my best mate on duty is an officer, off, she's my bodyguard :P
 
Verbally yes in middle school and early high school. Really really fucking bad


No one wanted to hurt me though, especially in middle school because all the girls loved me (Go figure) and defended me 100% of the time.

In 10, 11, and 12th grade in high school it literally evaporated. I became more ballsy and forgive my ebonics I had the "I go hard" mentality. I think someone did try and say something to me but I got loud in front of the entire class and shut him down.


I must admit I had a lot of friends in high school so I never felt isolated.


My heart goes out to anyone who is surrounded by people who hate them and have to stand up for themselves. Something I struggle with to this day

Yes, twice.

Some friends of mine (who really aren't my friends anymore) called me a faggot after someone lied and accused me of hitting on them (when I didn't of course).

One of their other friends (a girl) called me that a few months ago.

Guess she was mad she didn't have a chance with me :rolleyes:

I consider myself thick-skinned and as much as I'd like to tell myself I don't care about those words I do care. It's like taking a bullet even if you stand up for yourself.
