This is a very sad survey..........which I resisted for a long time.....but now my curiosity got the better of me....so I will finally ask the question.

Have you been gay bashed?

Personally, I never have been gay bashed.

I did come close though.

Seven years back (Im 36 now) I was flirting with a hot straight guy at work. He accused me of pinching his butt (which I never did). He didn't tell anyone or supervisors about it. He walked right up to me and said " I wanted to beat the crap out of you after you pinched my butt".

We both continued to work there for a while. We never talked to each other in a friendly manner again. I never told management what happened.
 
And the worst that happened to me was...someone once threw a bottle at me when I was walking down the street in the old "gay" part of Atlantic City. (The town has totally changed now and the area isn't even there any more.) Anyway, they were probably soooo drunk...missed by a mile.
 
Nope. Homophobic, violent people... they like me too much. :help:
 
someone smashed in a window while I was parked outside a gay bar,

I was inside with a friend, smoking something

luckily, my friend is about 6' 2" and he was out the passenger door

before I realized what happened, and they asshats drove off
 
The worst that's happened was when I was in middle school in boy scouts. The guys would call the guy I'd hang out with and me fags. I'd just hang out with the guy. Yeah, I watched porn, but when we hung out there was nothing sexual about it.
 
Yup.

In high school.

By a group of thugs.

One of whom died the next year in a car accident.

One of whom ended up in jail about a year later.

And one who finally came out eventually himself.
 
When I was a teenager, I was beaten by a guy and kicked repeatedly in the crotch, just because I was gay. I never made a pass at my attacker, nor did I ever say anything to provoke an attack.
 
I've had projectiles thrown at me from moving cars, but I've never been beaten up.
 
Yes. I remember at school there was one guy who was probably the toughest in our year who gave me nothing but hell for about 4 years (I'm lucky I had quite a big group of good friends) because I wasn't out and he was sure I was gay. He hated gays and wanted nothing to do with them, thought they should all be wiped off the planet. So one day, I had to stay behind to finish up on some coursework and his "girlfriend" at the time stayed with me because she was a friend of mine and needed to finish as well. He caught us and accused me of trying to get over my "gayness" by fucking his girl. He beat me senseless and shouted nothing but hurtful remarks non-stop and it took 2 teachers to pull him off me.

Funnily enough, well, it's really not funny but, in our last year of school, he sucked off a guy from our year while the guy was asleep after a party and, he's now a full on flamer. Guess he had such a good gaydar because of all those feelings deep, deep inside :D haha

Reading your responses and seeing your votes .....had much more impact on me.......than looking at "cold" statistics.
