Have you ever been in a physical fight

What is the proper way to hold a fist when fighting? When I gave my classmate that black eye, I held my fist such a way that I had my thumb wrapped over my fingers. My own Mother told me that I should always carry a roll of pennies in my pocket- using it in a fist makes fist stronger and prevents damage to myself.

Half of my family is very um, tough? They have all been in fights and prison many times. One of my cousins from this side of the family told me that if I were to ever get into a fight I should never put my fingers over my thumb as I would break my thumb. I doubt I could punch that hard though.

They aren't nasty people, they just drink too much.

Yes, I have. I try to avoid it if at all possible, but I will defend myself and have. My dad taught my brother and me to box and how to defend ourselves. Dad was special forces and Ranger in the army for 30 years

Here is the other bad part. I was so glad when we stopped and felt really bad about what I did to him. He was embarrassed that I could do that to him and we were never good friends after that. I also found out later that he liked to mess around with other guys once in a while. My loss.

I've not really had fights. Had a bit of fisty cuffsa with a friend because he kept slapping me to the point I just hit him. That went on a bit till he went home crying. I didn't feel bad cause I'd spent years being called names by him, I felt justicied.

Another time some kids kept stealing our ball during lunch and one time I kinda came face to face with one of them and gave him an uppercut. didn't feel guilty about that one either cause he kept nicking our ball and he had a hold of my throat. Plus my friend said it was an impressive uppercut.

Been in a few actual fights, but I've been jumped by a few folk more than I've had fair, square go. I don't understand folk that fight for fun. It fuckin' hurts.
