i have never been lost.....
i have, however, not known where i was ....different from being lost
once backpacking on Mt. McKinley in Alaska ... on the Muldrow Glacier.....on open ice....we (3 of us) didn't exactly know where we were for about a day and a half...we eventually got good landmarks and located ourselves on the map...it extended our 10 day backpack into a 12 day trip....but that was ok
sometimes on a long drive i will leave the interstate and drive for a few hours without the map...making turns by whim with the INTENTION of getting lost....then find my way out
i've discovered many wonderful places, met wonderful people and learned things about myself that i would not, had i never been "lost"...it's fun!...
