Have fallen out of my boxer fly many times before but never got caught in a zipper (though had a couple close calls in the past).

When I worked in the ER we had a fair number of guys come in with their penis stuck in the zipper. Almost all of them were cut so that's not really an argument. I think we had to send 2 off them to surgery. We just couldn't get it unzipped and we were causing too much pain. Most were kids but there was more than 1 drunk frat boy that did it as well. Have to watch out boys. Those teeth are sharp and they don't like to loosen up once they bite

No, but I remember seeing a piece in a medical journal about the best way to free a penis trapped in a zip. Apparently one should cut through the zip below the trappage (is that a word?) and then pull it apart rather than try to unzip and risk making the injury worse.

Mostly right. Depends on which part was stuck and how stuck it was. Cutting the zipper out of the pants usually took enough pressure off the zipper we could just put some vaseline on it and pull it apart. Especially if it was shaft skin that was stuck. If it was foreskin and caught at the opening it usually had more tissue entrapped and was more difficult to undo.
