  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Have you ever compared the type of guys you like with your mother?

I don't compare any of the guys I like to any of the members of my family.

And that's the greatest thing in the world.

I compare all my relationships with the one I had with my mother.

It was beautiful and the traits that I saw in her I want to see in all the people I let in my life.

The question is have you campared guys with your mother. (Do you have the same taste in guys.)

Guys, I think he's asking if you and your mothers have compared the kinds of guys that each of you are attracted to.

I personally have not since my mom is currently unwilling to acknowledge that I am attracted to men. Though I do know that we have very different taste, though she did a great job picking my dad, the greatest person in the world. :)

^Not "to," "with."

Well I misread.

I've spoken about one guy I dated with my mother, and that was soon after I came out. Other than that, I prefer not to, because my mother has a National Enquirer kind of mouth and mindset - I can't have a "me and her" talk, without her talking to my father or someone else in the extended family about it.

Not awkward, but I need someone to talk to that'll keep it between just the two of us... and sadly I don't have that in my family.

My mother is the same way. In fact it was how I was "outed" to my extended family.
