  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Have you ever done anything illegal?

Yep, I speed and play loud music. I am pretty sure that I have broken more than that, but I cant remember them off hand. It happens, and it's inevitable because you cannot possibly know every single little law that there is to know, you just follow the common sense ones and if you get caught, then you know.

I was a little kleptomaniac. When I was four, I stole some bubblegum from Giants (a grocery store), my mother found me with it and took it.

When I was 13 I stole a Playgirl magazine from a store while in Canada with my mother, grandmother, and cousin. When I went back to the hotel my mother was on the bed so I went directly to the bathroom because I was scared. When she asked me to come out I ran past her and sat on the floor by the bed. She noticed I was acting funny so she came over and found the magazine. I wanted to die. She didn't argue or yell at me, she just took it and walked out the room because we were meeting my grandmother and cousin for dinner. When I left the room I saw the housekeeper’s trashcan and looked inside, and there was the magazine. I took it and ran back to my room and put it in my suitcase. I had that magazine for about five months but then I got rid of it because I got tired of looking at the same guys over and over again.

I haven't stolen anything else since. At least I don't think so.

Yes, a lot! I won't incriminate myself, so I'll let you in on the minor ones. I lived in Greece and went on a read trip. While in Germany I couldn't find a parking place, so I did the usual Greek thing and parked on the sidewalk. When I came back there was a note on the car. My german friends translated it...something like "please park in designated spots..." Oh, and I parked in front of the police station. My friends also warned me about the only place on the autobahn that has speed limits (near Frankfurt). Well, I had greek plates, so screw it. Other drivers were trying to warn me, I saw the camera flash, so what.

Had some major problems in Thailand and Indonesia, and was declared persona non grata more than once.

Of course I have .... show me someone who hasn't!

who's wearing the microphone?

But yes I have. And we'll leave it at that.

why in fuck was my post deleted? it was a perfectly valid question

I have no idea what you're talking about. When posts are deleted from a thread moderators are still able to see a history that the thread has been editted/deletions. This thread has never had anything deleted out of it (as of this writing).

To answer the question, once you realize how many million laws there are to be broken, you realize that it's quite easy to commit crimes without even knowing it.

I used to think that every girl had sex at the airport in the car with their boyfriend - you know that excitement of you haven't seen him in a while or you'll soon miss him. Then later I realized that there are crimes that cover sex in public places - indecent exposure crimes and similar type crimes. Now I realize that I've had numerous instances of potential crimes. ;)

I have broken so many laws, I'm truely a master deviant.:D

But my best friend Derick went to prison once. I know he's a sweet and gentle guy. And I don't hold it against him....

You're a lawyer, right? I always wondered about adult websites where they ask you to verify that you're over 18 before you enter. If you're under 18 and you access the site, can you be charged with some sort of crime? Or would the website be in trouble for supplying pornography to minors? Odd question, but I was just curious.

I committed sodomy before the Supreme Court struck down the anti-sodomy laws in the Bible Belt. (But it wasn't illegal in my own state at the time.) Does that count? O:)

I live in the (former) USA.
:help:

Everything that I say (or type) can and will be used against me when I am dragged away to Gitmo.
:help:

So, no comment...

I speed relatively consistently, I smoke weed and indulge mushrooms/LSD now and then (not much else,) and download music/movies. So, yes, I'm no stranger to illegal activity, not that I think it's anything to be proud of, or anything...

Do traffic offences count?! And yeah, been caught a few times.....;)

If *|* in airplane toilets were illegal, then, I'd have a loooonnnnggg list of crim history!!!
