Yes, secondmonkey presented THREE reasons why hunting is a great option compared to meat farming (though, of course, entirely unsustainable with our enormous appetite for meat, busy lives, etc.):
1. The meat is almost certainly killed in a more (or FAR more) humane way. Apparently the killing methods for meat that is certified as kosher or halal are particularly brutal.
2. The meat is probably "cleaner" as it will be raised on what the wild animal NATURALLY eats. There won't be any of those damned antibiotics in it, either.
3. the animal has probably lived a relatively "normal" life for its species, rather than the torturous ways that meat is raised in factories. (Yes, they ARE factories.)
