Yes once and strangely enough it was with my true love.

That is a testament to the nature of love because all i needed to be happy was just to be near him and in his arms and i was on cloud nine. We did not have to do anything else.

We did everything except sex but i was in on cloud nine. I wanted to do it but we never lasted that long for it to happen but yes it is possible to have a boyfriend and not have sex.

I went on about 5 dates with a guy with no sex which was a record. I'm an "on the first date" kind of guy.

Yep, I dated a guy for nearly six months, and we never had sex.

We even shared a bed several times, but never "consumated" the relationship.

Years later he asked me why we never "slept together," I said, "that's all we did."

For those of you who only define "boyfriend" as including sex, does being gay only include being sexual? I have had sex all too many times, ending usually in a more superficial relationship based on sex. As I have matured, I have chosen not to have sex during the early stages of the relationship, preferring to foster friendship, trust, and love prior to moving onto a deeper, more lasting bond. When that hasn't worked, the relationship may end without me having had sex, but I still considered that person my boyfriend while I was dating him.
