Have you ever named your pet a "human" name?

I've never named my pets a human name ever.

Here are the names of my past and current pets.

I named my lovebird "Dollar" because she was green.

I named my cat "Pooky".

I named my bunny "Bagel" because she is brown.

I always gave my pets people names.

Cats I've had:

Bob
Palmer
Jack
Bernie
Dave

Dogs I've had:

Molly
Henry
Percy
Heidi Mae

My cat is named Eazy after the late Eric "Eazy E" Wright. Not sure if that counts.

Yes. Only because we named our animals by picking names from TV shows.


Our dogs where named from The Flintstones.

Our cows where named from Cheers.

And on it goes. We had 3 dogs, 3 cats, 12 fish, about 150 rabbits, 4 indoor birds, 4 regular pigs, 2 indoor pot bellied pigs, 7 goats, many ducks, many chickens, 2 cows, 1 horse, a hive of bees, 15 emus, and 1 rhea.


Besides the bees, chickens and ducks everyone had a name from a TV show.

Bird: Peter

The three dods I have now all I have names that are at the top of my list to give kids if I ever get any Paris, Rocky, and Skyler

Currently I have Mo but his full name is Captain Morgan and he is a Redbone Coonhound GSD mix.

Yellow Lab GSD mix : Roxie Heart
Golden retriever GSD mix : Shelby (which is the closest to not being a human name because she was named after the car her original owner loved and the country she was found in) We just referred to her as slut puppy.
