My first guinea pig was named the late Hon. Rev. Dr. Quasimodo P Bullfinkle, III, Esq, M.D., Ph.D., R.N., B.S., PMS, PVC, DDT, LSD, R.O.U.S., R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Prince of Ravioli, Keeper of the Cheese, Taker of Physics Tests, Fan of Shaun Gallagher, and Really Cool Guy.

But that name seemed kind of excessive, so I named my second one Maria Francesca Louisa Divine.

Were you trying to beat Idi Amin with that name? :D

Growing up 2 dogs that we had we called Sebastian and Oscar.

My baby boy now is called Torin, that could be a human name, found it in a baby book.

Lolz, would someone seriously have a pet without naming it?

But one of my cat's names is "Crystal" and that is a hunan's name, so yeah.

I had a German Shepard named Steve growing up. We got him at the pound, and he just looked & seemed too smart to get a dog's name.

My first two dog's were twins, I called them spic and span.

My next two weren't, they're called tyson and cooper.

Many of our cats have been named for people in the family.

I named a turtle Rascal once. But he/she/it died... :( I don't belong in this thread....

My current dog is Nick, I got him for Christmas so I named him after St. Nicholas.....

Most of the names were pretty human... either a last or first name.
Dogs: Eloisa, Socrates (I've seen Eloisa as a name, but my mom named her after the Eloi from the book The Time Machine. She was actually thinking of the Morlocks)
Turtles: Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello (Yes my brother had a thing for the teenage mutant ninja turtles)
Chickens: Beaky, Percy, Ferguson... I can't remember the other 7 :p

If I ever get another pet, I'd name it something obscure...and probably something dealing with food.

No, the two dogs I've had were named Pizza and Sit! The one cat I had prior to Alpo was named Mueslix.

There's no way in the World I could have a Pet Chicken, Duck and Pig and also eat those same meats...

I just couldnt do it...
