Nup. You're all so far away .... NZ is like at the ass end of the world. Plus, I think I'm the only Jubber who hasn't met Frank.
 
I met a number of guys on the New Jersey/New York trip a few years ago including, sausy, frankfrank, palbert, thad and several others I don't remember their names. I haven't been able to travel for a few years, but now I may be able to travel again some.
 
I've travelled from the UK to the US 3 times to meet and stay with EJMichaels and during each of these visits we have met up with DonQuixote, the first 2 times we drove up to meet him but on this year's visit he drove down to meet us :D Would love to meet more Jubbers but distances, time and finances have thus far prevented this being possible :(
 
I've met two. One was for dinner in York when I lived up there and he was passing through. The other was a couple of days in London for dinner, museums and a show.

I've made many friends on here over the years but have met only one Jubber, treanir, from The Netherlands, when he was backpacking around Australia a number of years ago. I took a 'sickie' from work so I could meet up with him when he was in town, and we spent a lovely morning together driving around and seeing the sights. Funnily enough, we were amongst the first Jubbers to officially sign up as members when JUB was created out of Link-Me-All-Over way back in 2003. Treanir and I signed up within a day of each other. He went by a different user name back then, but I can't remember what it was now.

That's awesome! I loved reading MichaelLuc's posts all those years ago .... he seemed like such a nice guy .... I used to fantasize about him quite a bit, actually! !oops! Haven't seen him post anything for many years now, so it's really nice to see his name again and to know that you are happily partnered. He probably won't remember me, but please pass on a big hi from ozguy. :wave:

I wouldn't be surprised if he remembers you, he remembers a lot of people from back when he posted if they posted a lot. I will send him the message.

I've also had many great personal exchanges with many more, especially the years I've had the time to participate in the Christmas Card exchange.

I have met quite a few Jubbers in my area (most at meets) and they have all been awesome. One has even posted in this thread and he is just as great and nice of a guy offline as he is online.
