Have you ever received or given Flowers to another Guy? Tell us what your Favorite Flower is.

I often sent flowers to partners. One partner I always sent a red rose to every night before he went on stage. My favourite flower for the house - I always have a vase full on the go - is Alstroemeria. Although unlike the picture below, I only have one colour at a time. They're also excellent value for money as they normally last 2 weeks before they start to drop.

But my most favourite is the freesia - simply because of the vibrant colours and the AMAZING scent!

I can't remember the name of the flower or I don't know if I know it, but I used to work at a fancy catering place with expensive center pieces and my favorite flower was similar to a gladiola.

FoxGlove is kind of similar ?

I have given flowers before - to women such as my mother, a few cousins and co-workers. I received flowers from a guy once, and I must admit that I felt very embarrassed. I was brought up in a very conservative environment in which flowers were only to be appreciated by and offered to women. It was a sweet gesture, but what can I do? At the time I suffered from some very extreme internalized homophobia. Now I would like it, but would find it a bit cliched. To be honest, I'd rather be given a proper plant. Peonies, hydrangeas and gloxinias are my favourite.

The flower seller at my place must have done something to the flowers - I have never scented a fragrant freesia before!

FoxGlove is kind of similar ?

Different family...and different properties too. You do know that foxgloves are notoriously poisonous (yet they turn to poison into a heart medication ). Gladiolas are fairly harmless.
